With the historic rail bus every Sunday to Maulbronn from 27 July to 14 September

Kornwestheim: This summer, the historic railbus of the Förderverein Schienenbus eV (Railway Bus Association) from Kornwestheim will once again be traveling to Maulbronn every Sunday as the "Kloster Flitzer." From Sunday, July 27, to Sunday, September 14, the state of Baden-Württemberg will operate two direct connections from Stuttgart to Maulbronn and back, as well as one direct connection from Maulbronn to Mühlacker and back.

From the Karlsruhe Transport Association area, Maulbronn can be reached by railbus as follows: From Karlsruhe Central Station, take the RE1 train towards Stuttgart to Mühlacker at 10:32 a.m., 1:32 p.m., or 4:32 p.m. There, you can connect to the "Kloster Flitzer" train to Maulbronn. The MEX17c railbus also runs from Bretten and Bruchsal: Brett from 11:02 a.m., 2:02 p.m., and 5:02 p.m.


In addition to the historic railbus, the Maulbronn Monastery Leisure Express will continue to run to the UNESCO World Heritage Site until mid-October, ensuring a dense network of services when combining both trains. The last return trip from Maulbronn is at 5:34 p.m. The Deutschland Ticket, the BW fare, or the Regio Spezial (KVV day ticket) are valid on these trains.
