Brohltalbahn invites you to a rolling crime reading

Brohl-Lützing: Express trains have always held a special fascination for criminal investigators, scoundrels, and authors alike. On the "Vulkan Express" of the Brohltalbahn, things are usually very peaceful – but during an exclusive evening ride, the smell of murder is now beginning to creep in.

On Saturday, October 25, 2025, author Gabriele Keiser will present a thrilling crime reading on the nostalgic narrow-gauge train in the volcanic Eastern Eifel region. Under the title "Ahr Wine Queen," guests can expect several episodes from a crime novel. During an intermission, an Ahr wine tasting with accompanying "rail street food" will also be offered.

The "Vulkan-Expreß Classic" will be used for this exclusive evening trip, consisting of a historic diesel locomotive, the original Brohltalbahn carriage VB 50 and the open summer carriage 458.

Departure from Brohl-Lützing is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. After an exciting excursion into the Brohl Valley, the train returns to the starting station at 11:40 p.m.

The €99 ticket includes the ride on the "Vulkan-Expreß Classic," the crime novel reading, a wine tasting, and dinner. Advance registration is required to participate.
