At the Karlsruhe Transport Museum, visitors are immersed in around two centuries of mobility history across four floors – from the wireless trolley to historic bicycles and motorcycles to automotive rarities. The impressive exhibition pays tribute to pioneers such as Karl Drais and Karl Benz in their hometown and is a must-see in a charming old factory on Werderstrasse. In addition to everyday vehicles, the museum also offers an interactive experience with one of Germany's largest model railways.

Hands-on technology – designed interactively and approachably
The Transport Museum offers a wide range of hands-on experiences: Visitors can sit inside selected vehicles and explore the machines – a thrill for all ages. The model railway on the third floor is one of the most important of its kind and, on Sundays, thrills visitors with over 25 trains running. Changing special exhibitions and events complement the diverse program.
Voluntary commitment with regional aspirations
Since 1969, the museum has been run on a voluntary basis by the Karlsruhe Road Safety Association – a genuine association in which technology enthusiasts actively participate. Whether it's tours for families and school groups or vehicle maintenance, a great deal of passion and expertise goes into the work behind the scenes. This contributes to making the museum more than just a collection, but a vibrant place for exchange and technology education.
