The Hamburger Omnibus Verein eV (HOV) has been committed to preserving historic buses that once served Hamburg's public transport system since 1991. With buses dating from 1954 to 1985, the association brings the past and technological history back to the streets. The vehicles can be booked for occasional special tours and are open to the public for a true experience – true witnesses to Hamburg's bus service.

Together for history and education
The HOV's success is based primarily on the dedication of its members, who spend their free time restoring and maintaining vehicles, and organizing tours. The association imparts technical knowledge, fosters community, and creates meeting spaces where visitors and members alike benefit from history. Through collaborations with museums, schools, and other associations, the HOV contributes to the preservation and dissemination of transport history.
