The Hallesche Straßenbahnfreunde eV (Halle Tramway Friends Association) is a dedicated association in Halle (Saale) dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of historic trams and buses. Since its founding, its members have been committed to keeping the region's public transport history alive and making it accessible for future generations.

The Halle Tram Museum – A technical monument

The Halle Tramway Friends operate the Halle Tramway Museum in the historic depot on Seebener Straße. Here, visitors can view an impressive collection of approximately 50 vehicles documenting the development of local public transport in Halle and the surrounding area. The museum offers hands-on history and invites visitors to discover the technical and cultural aspects of tram development.

Special trips and events – experience history

In addition to operating the museum, the Halle Tramway Friends regularly organize special tours with their historic vehicles. Whether it's a birthday party, wedding, or city tour – the nostalgic trams and buses offer a special experience for every occasion. The association also hosts events such as Open Monument Day and Museum Night, where visitors can take a look behind the scenes and experience the fascination of historic means of transport firsthand.
