The DB Museum Koblenz is a branch of the Deutsche Bahn Museum Nuremberg and houses one of the most important collections of historic rail vehicles in Germany. Located in the former railway depots, the museum presents a wide variety of locomotives, passenger carriages, and technical exhibits from over 100 years of railway history. Visitors can marvel at fascinating original vehicles up close on the extensive grounds and gain an impressive insight into the development of rail transport.
Locomotives, technology and stories – up close
The museum in Koblenz-Lützel is a true experience not only for railway enthusiasts: In addition to famous locomotives such as the Class 103 and the legendary E 40, it also exhibits special vehicles and rare carriages. With interactive information panels, guided tours, and regular events, the museum appeals to families, technology enthusiasts, and history buffs alike. The locomotive shed tours and special exhibitions on railway technology are particularly popular.

Volunteering & passion – supported by the support association
The operation of the DB Museum Koblenz is significantly supported by the Friends of the Federal Railway Museum Association (Förderverein Bundesbahn-Museum eV). Its members are dedicated to the preservation, maintenance, and presentation of the historic vehicles. Special tours, model railway exhibitions, and the annual summer festival with parade vehicles are also part of the program. Thus, the history of Deutsche Bahn lives on – authentically, tangibly, and with a great deal of personal passion.
