The Association of Transport Amateurs and Museum Railways (VVM) has been committed to preserving and presenting North German local and regional transport since 1958. At the Schönberger Strand, Aumühle Locomotive Shed, and Wohldorf Small Station locations, the association operates historic railways and trams with meticulous attention to detail. Operational services, film evenings, and special events reflect the association's vibrant history—a truly memorable experience for technology fans, families, and history buffs.

Museum Station & Small Railway: Dandelion Ride by Tram
At the Schönberger Strand Museum Station, visitors can not only marvel at steam and diesel locomotives, but also ride a dedicated tram line. The route runs through idyllic coastal landscapes, combining the experience of both railways and trams in a nostalgic way. Events such as "Tram Day" and winter punch rides keep operations lively and surprisingly diverse.
Aumühle & Wohldorf – Technology, pedals and model railways
At the Aumühle locomotive shed, the VVM exhibits historic railway vehicles and also operates a narrow-gauge railway and exhibits on Hamburg's local public transport. The Wohldorf Local Transport Museum documents the legacy of the old Alt-Rahlstedt–Volsdorf–Wohldorf narrow-gauge railway, including a large model railway. Both locations are particularly worthwhile for model building enthusiasts and technology lovers.
